
Wedding and Celebration cakes
Why not really make your wedding cake truly personal with black and white hand-drawn pictures. The drawings are made with edible ink and placed onto sugarpaste templates which are then dried and used as templates to attach to your chosen cake.
Mark and Jacqueline asked me to create a four-tier, chocolate sponge wedding cake covered in milk and white chocolate roses for their special day. The top of the cake had to match their cream, rose-topped, table centrepieces. The tiers were interlaced with edible, silver, chocolate leaves and each layer was sandwiched with rich, chocolate buttercream.
Their wedding was featured in Scotland's No. 1 Magazine with a picture of the cake (and more of the wedding obviously!).

Croquembouche
If you want a stunning centrepiece without having a cake why don't you have a Croquembouche instead? Profiteroles filled with fresh cream or a liqueur crème topped with chocolate sauce and surrounded by spun sugar or topped with white frosting to give more of a 'bridal' effect.
If icing 'isn't your thing' then why not opt for simple buttercream with fresh flowers of your choice.
You can add sprigs of lavender to make your cake even more fragrant or simply opt for seasonal flowers or to match your wedding bouquet.


This huge Naked-cake was adorned with autumnal fruit to create a cascading fruit waterfall but cake could be decorated with other fruit depending upon the season.
